Support and limitations

Release scope
Section titled “Release scope”This is a snapshot of v0.1.0-demo.2. Linux x86-64 is supported. AArch64 is experimental; physical-device validation is ongoing. macOS and Windows are unsupported. The compiler’s host CPU is independent of the generated program’s target. Run generated executables on compatible Linux systems.
Unavailable features
Section titled “Unavailable features”Closures, traits, exceptions, async, FFI, package management, reference returns, mutable slices, string indexing, and match guards are unavailable. Hexadecimal literals, numeric separators, and block comments are unsupported. String operations count bytes.
Tool behavior
Section titled “Tool behavior”The CLI has no separate --help option. Calling xen without arguments prints usage to stderr and exits 2. arm64-linux aliases AArch64. Selecting another target does not provide an execution environment for that CPU.
Versioned documentation preserves the behavior of its release. Do not assume features from a later release are available.
